THE FINALS Puts ALFA ACTA’s Home Defence Pitch to the Test in PRIME TIME

ALFA ACTA talks about protecting your family. In THE FINALS, that can mean blocking incoming fire with a shield, wiring an approach with mines or holding a Cashout while the building around it comes apart. Embark’s Meet ALFA ACTA trailer is framed as an advertisement from the fictional defence company, promising dependable engineering and little tolerance for mistakes. The joke is that its sales pitch has become a way to play.

ALFA ACTA is one of three permanent sponsors in PRIME TIME, alongside OSPUZE and ISEUL-T. It’s a familiar name for returning contestants: the company joined the sponsorship programme in Season 6 and was the official sponsor of Season 10. The change this season is what players can do under its banner. A dedicated Sponsor Journey introduces contracts, conversations with Grandma McJohnson and rewards that range from branded clothing to a Legendary Guardian Turret skin.

The McJohnsons Turn Home Defence Into a Game Show

ALFA ACTA’s business predates its involvement in the Arena. In the game’s fiction, CEO Junior McJohnson expanded his family’s defence technology company into civilian security, private contracting and virtual combat sponsorship. The trailer’s appeal to families fits that history: the brand presents firepower as a household necessity, with the polished reassurance of a company selling an appliance.

PRIME TIME puts another member of the family in front of players. Grandma McJohnson serves as ALFA ACTA’s Handler, briefing contestants on their challenges and commenting on their work. Her opening assignment frames the Arena as an entrance test for the company’s Home Defense Institute. The recruits are game show contestants, but the family talks to them as if every Cashout were a rehearsal for what might happen if someone left the front gate open.

The same idea has a physical presence in Las Vegas Stadium. When Embark introduced the arena in Season 6, it gave the ALFA ACTA Casino a stark look built around concrete and wood, while OSPUZE’s venue leaned into neon and animated signage. PRIME TIME revisits both casinos and the central area with changes to sightlines and strong positions. The sponsor’s fortress aesthetic is familiar; some of the angles players use to defend it have changed.

How to Sign With ALFA ACTA and Start Its Sponsor Journey

The Sponsors menu unlocks after four completed matches and is accessible from the main menu’s side panel. From there, players can sign with ALFA ACTA, choose an available challenge and review the sponsor’s Signature Plays. Each challenge groups three to five contracts. As players move through the journey, they can have up to three challenges to choose from.

Only the active challenge advances during play. Progress is saved when you switch, so you can set a task aside and come back to it later. The sponsors themselves are permanent and can be swapped freely. If your squad’s loadout suits one challenge this evening and a different one tomorrow, there’s no need to finish the first before changing course. Once a challenge is complete, return to the sponsor menu to claim its rewards.

The opening ALFA ACTA challenge, The McJohnson Standard, shows how that structure works. It asks for 20 eliminations or assists, one match win, 1,000 Fans and 1,500 damage blocked with a Dome Shield, Mesh Shield, Barricade or Goo. That last contract gives players several ways to contribute. A Heavy can absorb fire with a shield, while someone using Goo can work towards the same objective by putting cover where the team needs it.

Signature Plays Reward the Work of Holding a Position

Contracts give the Sponsor Journey its milestones. Signature Plays are actions that can earn extra Fans as they happen in a match. ALFA ACTA recognises plays such as eliminating opponents with mines or turrets, protecting teammates and fortifying a position. More Signature Plays become available through certain challenges, and only the ones belonging to your currently signed sponsor award their bonus Fans.

Some of ALFA ACTA’s examples go beyond setting traps. Reclaimed Cashout recognises successfully cashing out after stealing the objective back from an opposing team. Home Defence calls for a team wipe while your squad owns a Cashout. The two plays reward different moments in the same fight: one for recovering a position you’ve lost, the other for clearing out the team trying to take it.

That makes the choice of sponsor relevant to how a squad already plays. OSPUZE rewards acts such as airborne eliminations and destroying parts of the Arena; ALFA ACTA is a more natural fit for players who spend their time covering a steal or keeping an approach closed. Fans also feed World Tour Ranks under PRIME TIME, replacing the previous World Tour Points system. Signature Plays are one way to earn them alongside regular match actions and seasonal events.

Weapon Skins and Family Briefings Tell the Same Story

The early ALFA ACTA rewards include Code Compliant skins for weapons such as the FCAR, XP-54 and Pike-556, plus the Family Issue Hoodie and the Signed by ALFA ACTA sticker. Later challenges list more elaborate cosmetics, including the Generational Wealth skin for the Guardian Turret. It’s a fitting name for a family that treats a defensive emplacement as something worth passing down.

The journey also uses documents and audio logs to tell stories that wouldn’t fit on an arena billboard. The Home Defense Institute’s admissions letter treats a contestant’s performance as proof they might be ready to defend private property. In Unexpected Company, the family takes ordinary doorstep small talk as the beginning of a security breach, then sends players into the Arena with contracts for melee damage, mines and long-range eliminations. The joke carries through from the briefing into the tasks themselves.

That’s what gives the trailer’s promise of reliability some bite. The same company that offers reassurance in an advert turns a visit from unexpected guests into a combat exercise. For players signing with ALFA ACTA, the place to see that idea play out is the Sponsor menu: take Grandma McJohnson’s first assignment, then see how long your perimeter holds once the Cashout starts drawing a crowd.
