Monet Steps Into the Spotlight Ahead of The First Descendant’s November Update

Before Monet heads into a mission, Nexon is giving players a moment to see the new Descendant up close. A 26-second clip released on 5 November 2026 shows Monet on the character selection screen, offering a look at how the character is presented in the game. It’s a short introduction ahead of Season 4 Episode 2, whose update is scheduled for 17 November, Pacific time. Nexon’s roadmap lists Monet among the November additions alongside the Henosis Sanctuary dungeon.
The selection screen gives Monet a first in-game showcase
The clip stays with Monet on the menu players use before heading out. That’s a different kind of reveal from the combat trailer Nexon released for Raven in August: the focus here is how Monet looks on the roster. The description even invites viewers to sit back and enjoy the view before their next mission, which sets the pace for a showcase that stays out of the field.
The selection-screen footage leaves the main gameplay questions open. Nexon’s November roadmap names Monet as a new Descendant, but the clip doesn’t break down the character’s abilities, combat role or unlock requirements. It also gives players no reason to assume that Henosis Sanctuary will drop Monet’s research materials. The dungeon and the character are listed in the same update window, with their acquisition and reward details still to come.
When is Monet coming to The First Descendant?
The best date to mark is Tuesday, 17 November 2026, the date Nexon gives in Pacific time for the Season 4 Episode 2 update. The date comes from an official notice about the removal of Guide Quests. Monet’s November release window comes from the roadmap Nexon published after its second anniversary broadcast. Taken together, those announcements point to the November episode as Monet’s arrival window, although the selection-screen video itself gives no launch hour.
The latest live patch, 1.4.8, is a separate update. Its notes cover adjustments to existing Descendants such as Raven, Freyna and Harris, along with new shop items and fixes. Players who watched the Monet clip and logged in to look for the character are still waiting for the November episode update.
Henosis Sanctuary and a Transcendent EXCAVA are also on the November schedule
Henosis Sanctuary is the new dungeon on Nexon’s November roadmap, which also lists more Transcendent Weapons and Trigger Modules. The studio has already named one of those weapons: a Transcendent version of EXCAVA. Players waiting for Monet’s kit can at least see what else is planned for the month, without having to infer which weapons or modules will work best with the new character.
EXCAVA’s arrival also changes what players can farm. Nexon plans to cap the active Transcendent weapon drop pool at 12, rotating an older weapon out when a new one joins. Malicious Dominator is the first weapon named for retirement in November. Copies already obtained can still be equipped and traded; the change stops new drops. That’s the more immediate deadline for anyone who still wants to farm the weapon before the pool changes.
What returning players should know about Guide Quests
Episode 2 also changes how players earn some progression rewards. Nexon is discontinuing Guide Quests and moving their rewards into the Boost Path. Any Guide Quest already in progress when the update goes live will be completed automatically, with its rewards sent to the player’s inventory. Quests that haven’t been accepted won’t pay out individually; their rewards are scheduled to move into the Boost Path instead.
For now, Monet’s selection-screen clip is the place to see how the character appears on the roster. The next details to look for are how Monet fights and where players can earn the materials needed to unlock the new Descendant.
