The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria™

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria™ follows the Dwarves as they embark on a new adventure to reclaim their legendary home of Moria beneath the Misty Mountains. Players will join forces to survive, craft, build and explore the iconic, sprawling mines. Courageous expeditioners will need to be on guard as mysterious dangers are lurking.

Reclaim the Dwarven Homeland of Moria

Summoned to the Misty Mountains by Lord Gimli Lock bearer, players will take control of a company of Dwarves tasked with reclaiming lost spoils from the Dwarven homeland of Moria, known as Khazad-dûm or Dwarrowdelf.

Set in a procedurally generated Dwarven realm of Moria, no two adventures will be the same, and every expedition can be undertaken solo or online with friends. Players can mine to craft better gear and resources… but mining makes noise, and noise created in the quiet depths threatens to stir the dangers below: where there's commotion, there's combat. Uncover the mysteries of three legendary mountains, extract precious metals, fight for survival and battle inexplicable forces to discover the secret of the Shadow that lurks within.

• To survive the treacherous mines of Moria, players must conserve resources, hunt and gather food, and monitor sleep, temperature and noise levels. Utilize dynamic light systems to stay safe and to burrow deeper still into the darkness. Battle unspeakable evils and survive hordes of orcs in visceral combat, all while uncovering the secret of the Shadow that looms within the mountain.
• Find solace in the darkness. Reveal and clear new locations to create architecture on a grand scale. Be creative and construct bases from scratch or build upon the existing environment. Beware the evils intent on destroying Dwarven progress.
• Restore the long-lost ancient kingdom of Khazad-dûm to its former glory with Dwarven landmarks as the story develops. Resurrect old mines and reignite their forges to obtain virgin resources.
• Delve into the depths of the Mines of Moria. Procedurally generated environments are abundant with resources and bursting with mystery and danger, providing a unique experience with every play.
• Adventure alone or team up with friends in online cooperative multiplayer mode with up to eight players.
• Craft and loot legendary Dwarven armour, tools, weapons and structures. Rebuild ancient forges to strengthen, repair and enchant gear. Upgrade and unlock new technologies and machines.
• Discover ancient magic items, including swords that glow when orcs are nearby, maps of inactive Mithril veins, books with forgotten crafting plans and amulets that provide strength or wisdom.
• Establish mines and unearth deposits of precious resources such as iron, gold and quartz; and fantastical materials such as Mithril. Access production stations and forges to convert ore to ingots and upgrade gear. Be careful, mining is noisy and could disturb whatever is lurking in the darkness.
• Dwarves can be customised in a number of ways to create a unique Dwarven identity. During gameplay players can also find and craft armour and weapons to enhance their unique style.
