Expansive Worlds has finally revealed the complete animal roster for Intisuyu, the new Peruvian reserve coming to theHunter: Call of the Wild on June 16. After weeks of showing fragments of the map and a few select species, the studio has confirmed that the DLC will include 14 different species, 10 of which are completely new to the game, making Peru one of the most content-rich and wildlife-diverse reserves ever added to the hunting simulator.
The reserve is set across three distinct ecosystems: Andean foothills, cloud forests, and tropical rainforests crossed by large rivers. This environmental variety will allow players to encounter everything from small predators to some of the most iconic animals in South America.
Ten new species debut in theHunter
The main highlight of Intisuyu is its biodiversity.
Among the new additions are the jaguar, one of the most requested predators from the community for years; the spectacled bear; the South American tapir; the ocelot; the black caiman; and the capybara, the world’s largest rodent.
Also making their debut are lesser-known international species such as the vicuña, the western mountain coati, and the greater grison, a small South American predator that has never appeared in the franchise before.
The kingdom of the jaguar
Although the reserve features a wide range of wildlife, Expansive Worlds has made it clear that the true king of Intisuyu will be the jaguar.
The studio describes the map’s jungles as the predator’s natural domain, where it stalks players through dense vegetation and turns nighttime hunts into some of the most tense experiences the game has ever delivered.
The team has even built part of the expansion around this animal, including the new Dahler Reverse Draw CB-150, a crossbow designed specifically for silent close-range hunting in dense jungle environments.
One of the most ambitious reserves in years
Beyond the animals, Intisuyu will include a 60-mission campaign, activities tied to a local wildlife sanctuary, and an exploration system designed around the map’s dramatic elevation changes. Verticality will be a core gameplay element, forcing players to constantly adapt their equipment depending on the region they are exploring.
The combination of jungles, mountains, and wetlands promises some of the most varied environments in the entire series.
Peru is set to become a community favorite
With never-before-seen wildlife, iconic predators like the jaguar, and some of the most visually striking landscapes ever created by Expansive Worlds, Peru Hunting Reserve is shaping up to be one of the most significant expansions theHunter: Call of the Wild has received in recent years.
And judging by the full animal list, it is clear that this time the real star won’t be a single species.
It will be an entire ecosystem.
