Earn the T86 in the Normandy ‘44 event and honor D-Day

June 6, 1944—a day of valor that changed the course of history as Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy during Operation Overlord. Now, War Thunder invites players to commemorate this momentous event through the special Normandy ‘44 event, offering exclusive rewards like D-Day decals, a commemorative decoration, and the American T86 prototype tank.

From June 5 to June 17, join Ground Battles, earn mission points, and progress through stages to unlock valuable prizes. The featured vehicle, the T86, was an experimental amphibious version of the M18 developed in 1944. It featured a larger hull and turret for amphibious operations, trading armor protection for enhanced mobility and reliable firepower. Although the T86 never went into production, the knowledge gained from its development influenced future amphibious support vehicle designs.
