Warframe’s annual community celebration is almost here. TennoCon 2026 takes place on July 10 and July 11, bringing two days of live panels, community events, cosplay showcases, music performances and major Warframe announcements from Digital Extremes.
The event will begin with the Cosplay Contest and TennoConcert on July 10 before shifting into a full broadcast schedule on July 11. That second day will feature developer panels, community activities and the return of TennoLive, where Digital Extremes traditionally delivers its biggest reveals for the future of Warframe.
For players watching remotely, TennoCon 2026 will also include an in-game Relay experience, Twitch and Steam Drops, and a set of free rewards tied to watching the live event.
TennoCon 2026 returns with two days of community events and live reveals
TennoCon 2026 will once again take place in London, Ontario, with the event running across July 10 and July 11. The first day is focused heavily on community celebration, with the annual Cosplay Contest giving creators the opportunity to present their costumes on stage, followed by the return of TennoConcert.
TennoConcert has become one of the more distinctive elements of modern TennoCon programming. Rather than functioning as a standard pre-show, it gives Warframe’s music and broader audiovisual identity a dedicated live stage, reinforcing how much the game has expanded beyond its original looter-shooter framework over more than a decade of updates.
The second day is where the event’s major announcements will take centre stage. Digital Extremes has confirmed a full day of panels, community programming and live broadcasts before the schedule culminates in TennoLive on July 11.
For Warframe players, TennoLive is usually the most important segment of the entire event. It is where the studio traditionally reveals upcoming expansions, new Warframes, major narrative developments, gameplay systems and long-term plans for the Origin System.
TennoLive begins July 11 with an in-game Relay experience
Players watching from home will be able to attend the TennoLive Relay in-game once TennoLive begins on July 11 at 4:30 p.m. ET.
The Relay experience has become an important part of TennoCon because it gives players a way to watch the showcase collectively inside Warframe rather than only through a browser or streaming platform. These in-game gatherings often include event-specific staging, community activity and occasional surprises tied directly to the broadcast.
Digital Extremes has not detailed every element of the 2026 Relay experience yet, but its messaging strongly suggests that players should be logged in before TennoLive begins. That wording is consistent with previous TennoCon events, where the in-game Relay has sometimes been connected to special visual moments, exclusive interactions or reveals that are more impactful when experienced live.
For players who cannot attend in person, the Relay is therefore more than a secondary viewing option. It is part of the event itself and may be the best way to experience TennoLive alongside the wider Warframe community.
Free Twitch and Steam Drops include Mesa Prime and new community rewards
TennoCon 2026 will offer several free rewards for players who watch the event through Twitch or Steam. The reward pool includes a mix of community-created cosmetics, upgrade materials, a weapon and a complete Prime Warframe.
Among the confirmed Drops is the Verminia Cosplay Community Display, created by Community Creator Luckygoblinnn. Players will also be able to earn the Singing Lotus Community Glyph from Community Creator Cyanfacade, accompanied by a Built Forma.
The reward list also includes Haalvu, a Primary Weapon, and Mesa Prime, one of Warframe’s most recognisable Prime variants. Mesa Prime is likely to be the most significant reward for many players, particularly newer Tenno who have not yet acquired her through relic farming or who want a powerful addition to their Arsenal without spending Platinum.
As usual, players will need to ensure that their Warframe account is correctly linked to the platform they plan to watch on before the relevant broadcast windows begin. Digital Extremes has not yet outlined every timing condition for the Drops in the hype trailer itself, so players should check the official TennoCon page closer to the event for any additional requirements.
Tau and Warframe’s future are expected to take the spotlight
TennoCon 2026 is arriving at an especially important point for Warframe’s wider narrative. The official event branding centres on the message that Tau is in sight and that old wounds are not easily healed, clearly positioning the convention around the next stage of the game’s ongoing story.
That framing is significant because Tau has been one of the most important unresolved destinations in Warframe lore for years. It has long been associated with the Sentients, the Old War and the wider conflict that shaped the Origin System. Digital Extremes has not confirmed exactly what will be shown during TennoLive, but the language surrounding this year’s event makes it difficult to ignore the possibility that Tau-related developments will become central to the showcase.
Players should still be cautious about treating that as confirmation of a full expansion announcement. The event branding establishes narrative direction, but it does not reveal the exact form of the content. TennoLive could include a cinematic teaser, a gameplay reveal, a new quest, an expansion roadmap or several connected announcements.
What is certain is that TennoCon 2026 is being framed as more than a routine annual presentation. Digital Extremes is positioning it as one of the largest events in Warframe’s history, and the emphasis on Tau suggests that the studio is preparing to move the game’s long-running story into a major new phase.
A major weekend for the Warframe community
TennoCon has always been about more than announcements. It is one of the few gaming conventions built around a single evolving live-service universe, where developer panels, player creativity, cosplay, music and in-game events all feed into the same community moment.
The 2026 edition continues that structure while raising expectations around the future of the Origin System. The Cosplay Contest and TennoConcert will give the first day a strong community identity, while the July 11 broadcast is expected to provide the major reveals that define Warframe’s next year of content.
For players, the practical checklist is simple: make sure account links are ready for Twitch or Steam Drops, log in before the TennoLive Relay begins at 4:30 p.m. ET, and keep an eye on the official schedule for final timing details.
The rewards are a useful incentive, but the real reason to watch is the same as every year: TennoCon is where Warframe’s future takes shape.
