The ships in orbit have detected a powerful signal coming from the planet's surface and it has been decided to call the element that generates it “Object”. It is only known that it is an ancient device of alien origin but little else.

This is where the players come into play. You will have to approach the "Object" aboard your shiny Mars Rover, analyze it from the research areas and earn points to get rewards. More information here.
