World of Tanks is preparing to reopen one of its most unusual battlefields with Waffenträger: Genesis, the latest chapter of Wargaming’s recurring asymmetric event. Beginning on September 18, the limited-time mode once again pits a coordinated squad of specialized Harrier vehicles against the formidable Blitzträger auf E 110.

This year’s conflict is no longer presented as another isolated experiment by Max von Krieger. The supposedly repeating timelines encountered in previous events were actually artificial pockets of subspace designed to gather combat data. Every Harrier assault, destroyed Sentinel and desperate encounter with the Blitzträger contributed to a much larger project: the creation of Electric Intelligence.

This newborn artificial mind now controls the upgraded Sentinels protecting von Krieger’s machinery. To prevent it from becoming an even greater threat, players must assault its Generators, disable the Blitzträger’s energy shield and destroy the experimental vehicle before time runs out.

Max von Krieger’s Time Loops Were a Deception

Waffenträger: Genesis directly continues the story established by earlier iterations of the event. Max von Krieger’s apparent mastery of time was not quite what it seemed. Rather than creating genuine temporal loops, the Engineer had constructed subspace environments in which the same conflict could be studied repeatedly.

The Harriers believed they were disrupting his experiments. In reality, their tactics were being recorded and processed. Their battlefield experience became training material for Electric Intelligence, a thinking machine made from pure electrical energy.

That revelation gives the familiar conflict a more dangerous purpose. Von Krieger has effectively turned his opponents into unwilling teachers. Every successful attack helped his machine understand how Harriers move, cooperate and respond under pressure. The upgraded Sentinels encountered in Genesis are the first major result of that accumulated knowledge.

The event’s story therefore presents the battle as an attempt to buy humanity more time rather than a final victory. Destroying the Blitzträger may interrupt the experiment, but the artificial intelligence behind it is already learning and evolving.

The Asymmetric Battle Returns With a Clear Objective

Waffenträger: Genesis retains the asymmetric structure that defines the event. Harrier players operate specialized vehicles built around mobility, coordinated attacks and complementary abilities. Their opponent commands the vastly more powerful Blitzträger auf E 110, supported by Sentinels and additional battlefield systems.

The Harriers cannot simply concentrate their fire on the Blitzträger at the beginning of a match. Its protective shield makes a direct assault ineffective. Instead, the squad must clear the Sentinels stationed around Generators and then overcharge those objectives.

Successfully overcharging a Generator temporarily disables the Blitzträger’s shield, creates an opportunity to inflict meaningful damage and adds one minute to the match timer. Battles begin with six minutes available, but the Harriers can extend that limit to a maximum of 12 minutes by completing their objectives. A short overtime period can also be triggered under specific conditions when a Generator is being contested as the clock expires.

The sixth and final Generator permanently disables the Blitzträger’s shield. Reaching that stage gives the Harriers their best opportunity to finish the battle, but they still need enough surviving firepower—and enough time—to eliminate the vehicle.

The Engineer’s objective is considerably simpler: keep the Blitzträger operational until the timer reaches zero. That does not make the role passive, however. A successful Engineer must protect the Generators, disrupt attempts to overcharge them and eliminate Harriers carrying valuable Plasma.

Four Harrier Vehicles Offer Distinct Battlefield Roles

Players joining the Harrier Squad can select from four event vehicles. Although every one of them contributes to the same overall objective, their abilities encourage different approaches.

The Pojistka functions as a mid-range support vehicle. Its repair capability helps it remain active between engagements, while its Railgun ability enhances a prepared shot. It is suitable for players who want to support the Generator assault without remaining directly beside the Blitzträger.

The Resistor is the flexible all-rounder. It can repair itself and prepare an explosive shot capable of damaging enemies within an area. Its versatility makes it a practical choice for players who expect to move regularly between fighting Sentinels, defending teammates and attacking the exposed Blitzträger.

The Thunderbolt exchanges mobility for durability and sustained firepower. Its Siege Mode improves its rate of fire at the cost of movement, making positioning especially important. When deployed at the right moment, it can deliver considerable damage during the limited period in which the Blitzträger’s shield is offline.

The Foudre is the fast, lightly protected option. Its autoloader and mobility allow it to pressure the Engineer or move rapidly between objectives. The Ballistic Dome can temporarily protect it against incoming shells and even defend against a Hyperion strike, but poor positioning can still result in a quick destruction.

Harrier vehicles have unlimited respawns, although every destruction increases the delay before returning to battle. Losing a vehicle also removes its accumulated Plasma, making survival an important part of maintaining the squad’s offensive momentum.

Plasma Makes Every Generator More Valuable

Overcharging Generators does more than remove the Blitzträger’s shield and extend the timer. It also provides Harriers with Plasma charges that increase their damage output.

Each charge grants a 25% damage bonus, with four charges raising the total bonus to 100%. A fully powered Harrier can therefore inflict twice its normal damage, turning a previously manageable opponent into a serious threat to the Engineer.

The risk is that Plasma is lost when the carrying vehicle is destroyed. The Blitzträger player will consequently have an obvious incentive to identify and eliminate the most heavily charged Harriers first. For the squad, protecting those players may be more valuable than dealing a small amount of immediate damage.

This system creates a natural escalation across each match. The Harriers become progressively more dangerous as additional Generators fall, while the Engineer becomes increasingly vulnerable and must work harder to interrupt the opposing team’s rhythm.

The Blitzträger Remains a Mobile Boss Vehicle

The Blitzträger auf E 110 retains the characteristics of a player-controlled boss encounter. Its five-round Gungnir magazine provides substantial conventional firepower, while EMP Arrow and EMP Burst can disable Harriers and interrupt their attempts to overcharge Generators.

Teleportation allows the Engineer to reposition across the battlefield after a brief delay. It can be used to escape an unfavorable engagement, reinforce a threatened Generator or coordinate with supporting units. Destroying a Generator interrupts the ability, so the Engineer cannot rely on it without considering the Harriers’ objective progress.

Hyperion remains the Blitzträger’s most intimidating strategic weapon. The ability targets an area with a devastating energy strike and is charged by damaging Harriers. It gives the Engineer a way to influence distant objectives and punish opponents who remain grouped together for too long.

The Blitzträger’s strongest abilities become temporarily unavailable when its shield falls. After the final Generator is destroyed, Teleportation and Hyperion are locked for the remainder of the battle. This makes the last phase a much more direct confrontation in which positioning, remaining health and the Harriers’ accumulated Plasma can decide the result.

EOS 1 and the Sentinels Protect the Network

The Blitzträger does not fight alone. Groups of Sentinels defend the Generators, forcing the Harriers to divide their attention between completing objectives and watching for the Engineer.

EOS 1 also returns as a powerful support unit. It can increase the reload speed of nearby allies, employ electromagnetic attacks and follow the Blitzträger through battlefield repositioning. Most importantly, EOS 1 can reactivate the shield of an undefended Generator while it remains nearby, temporarily preventing the Harriers from overcharging that objective.

Destroying EOS 1 rewards the Harrier team with a Plasma charge, but pursuing it can expose players to the Blitzträger and its Sentinels. Its presence introduces another tactical decision: whether to focus on the nearest Generator or temporarily divert resources to remove one of the Engineer’s strongest supporting pieces.

In narrative terms, the upgraded Sentinels are now extensions of Electric Intelligence rather than simple automated guards. Wargaming has not presented them as independent player-equivalent opponents, but their new role reinforces the idea that the entire defensive network is being coordinated by a single evolving intelligence.

Missions Lead Through a 20-Stage Progression

Waffenträger: Genesis features a 20-stage event progression. Players advance by earning Tokens from dedicated Harrier and Engineer missions, with objectives covering Generator overloads, damage against the vulnerable Blitzträger, victories, experience earned and destroyed enemies.

Harrier missions provide Tokens alongside rewards such as Battle Pass Points, credits, customization items and Keys. Those Keys normally grant access to a battle in the Blitzträger auf E 110, although Wargaming notes that matchmaking may occasionally place a player in the Engineer vehicle without one when the queue lacks enough Blitzträger commanders.

Engineer missions have their own objectives and rewards, including Tokens, credits, bonds, components and customization elements. Players who finish the main progression can continue completing additional daily missions for further rewards.

The progression track offers up to three Modules, along with Keys, 2D styles, decals, credits, bonds, Battle Pass Points and Experimental Equipment resources. In this event, Modules are reward containers rather than vehicle equipment. They can contain different valuables and may also award Premium vehicles.

Three new vehicles are included among the possible Module drops: the Ambassador, the Vz. 62 Jasan and the Husarz. Because these are chance-based Module rewards, completing the progression should not be interpreted as guaranteeing a particular Premium vehicle.

Modules can be obtained from selected progression stages and missions, by defeating the rare Blitzträger auf E 220, or through limited-time store bundles. Their contents can be rerolled, giving players some control over whether they accept the first reward presented.

The Rare Blitzträger auf E 220 Can Appear

During selected periods, Harrier squads may encounter the Blitzträger auf E 220. This rare version has the same combat characteristics as the standard E 110 but carries a distinctive camouflage and can only be operated by selected Wargaming representatives and content creators.

Defeating the E 220 provides an additional opportunity to obtain a Module. Its limited availability turns the encounter into a special target for players already comfortable with the event’s mechanics, although victory still depends on the same fundamentals: coordinated Generator attacks, careful Plasma management and concentrated damage whenever the shield disappears.

Waffenträger: Genesis Event Dates

The supplied event schedule runs from September 18 at 06:00 until September 29 at 06:00. World of Tanks regional portals can display event times according to the player’s location, so commanders should check the schedule shown on their regional website or inside the game client before launch.

That leaves players with fewer than two weeks to complete the 20-stage progression, try both sides of the asymmetric confrontation and use any collected Blitzträger Keys. Unused Keys will not receive compensation after the event ends.

Waffenträger: Genesis builds on a familiar formula without discarding the features that made earlier versions distinctive. The Generator sequence creates an escalating battle, the Harrier vehicles reward coordinated role selection and the Blitzträger offers a rare opportunity to become the boss rather than fight it.

The new Electric Intelligence storyline also gives the annual event a stronger sense of continuity. The Harriers may once again destroy von Krieger’s machine, but Genesis suggests that the real enemy is no longer confined to a single experimental tank.
