Die in the Dark is an exploration and adventure game played in first person. More a thriller than a horror, though see how the monsters come when your flashlight battery runs out…

Trapped underground with nothing but a flashlight. No guns, no knives… Faced with numerous puzzles and challenges, and, to top it off, zombies, rabid dogs and monsters galore… The best way to survive is to ward zombies off, burning them with your flashlight and hiding yourself away in a closet. But then again, it’s your choice.

A story based on true events that took place in July 2008 on Long Island, New York, when the “Montauk Monster” appeared on the shore there. Bathers were both shocked and confused. The monster was half pig, half dog. Not far from the scene was the Plum Island Animal Research Center, known for its unconventional experimentation on animals.

2 years later, another monster was spotted on the shore. This time, it was human with long limbs that looked as if they had been stretched out. It was believed that Plum Island had started to experiment on humans.

In July 2018, the Plum Island monsters escaped from an area of the New York subway.
