Brawlhalla Patch 10.08 Brings Aurus, Battle Pass Classic 8, Heatwave Rewards, and Major Balance Changes
18/06/2026 - 10:20
Blue Mammoth Games has rolled out Brawlhalla Patch 10.08, one of the most content-heavy updates of the summer. The new patch introduces Aurus, a gladiator-themed Legend wielding Chakram and Spear, brings back Battle Pass Classic Season 8, prepares the return of the Heatwave Event, resets the Ranked ladder, adds Crystalforged Colors, and delivers a broad set of gameplay adjustments across weapons, Super Stances, and individual Legends.
The update arrives during a busy period for Brawlhalla, with seasonal events, competitive play, and Battle Pass reruns all overlapping in a single patch cycle. For players, that means Patch 10.08 is not just about a new character; it reshapes progression, cosmetics, ranked rewards, and several key areas of the current gameplay meta.
Aurus enters the Grand Tournament with Chakram and Spear
The headline addition is Aurus, the newest Legend joining Brawlhalla on June 17.
Aurus is introduced as The Gladiator, a showman built around trapping enemies, creating follow-up opportunities, and controlling space with two very different weapons. His loadout combines Spear and Chakram, giving him access to both precise reach and the newer weapon’s flexible offensive patterns.
According to the official patch notes, Aurus uses nets to trap enemies before following up with Spear attacks. His Chakram, meanwhile, functions almost like a shielded projectile tool, allowing him to throw it at opponents and charge them down. This gives him a clear identity as a pressure-focused fighter who can force mistakes and punish opponents who lose control of spacing.
His statline is also notable. Aurus launches with 6 Strength, 6 Dexterity, 6 Defense, and 4 Speed, making him relatively balanced across most attributes while clearly sacrificing mobility. That lower Speed value may limit his ability to chase in some matchups, but his tools appear designed to compensate through trapping, weapon control, and strong engagement options.
Aurus also launches with three skins: Centurion Aurus, God of Boar Aurus, and Freesmith Inquisitor Aurus, alongside the Auroodle Avatar. That gives the new Legend a complete cosmetic rollout from day one, which should help drive early adoption among both casual players and collectors.
Battle Pass Classic Season 8 returns to Terminus
Patch 10.08 also marks the return of Battle Pass Classic Season 8, sending players back to Terminus and the Darkheart experiments conducted by the biotech company THNX.
The original Season 8 theme remains intact, with Petra’s resistance fighters, the Incarnates, battling against a corporate experiment gone wrong. As with other Battle Pass Classic reruns, the original reward track returns with updated missions and additional rewards designed to bring the pass in line with more recent systems.
The Classic version includes 85 reward tiers, refreshed objectives, and new items. One of the most important additions is the Cyber Myk Chakram, which helps update the original reward set now that Chakram is part of Brawlhalla’s weapon ecosystem.
Players who complete the classic reward track can also earn the free Supreme Incarnate Royalty Avatar and the new TermiMart (TM) Loyal Customer title. Those who completed the original version can retain their progress and previous purchases, while still gaining access to refreshed rewards.
The Deluxe Pass adds 25 instant tier skips and exclusive extras, including the Luminary Officer title, the TermiMart (TM) Limited Edition Aide sidekick, and the Darkheart Portal emote. For players who missed the original Season 8 run, this is a direct opportunity to recover one of Brawlhalla’s more distinctive futuristic Battle Pass themes.
Heatwave prepares its summer return with new earnable rewards
The update also sets up the return of Heatwave, Brawlhalla’s summer event, which begins on July 8.
This year’s event brings a new set of earnable rewards through the Event Center, with the Scuba Raptor Skin acting as the grand prize. Players will also be able to unlock new emoji skins, the Jetsam Sidekick, and the Surfer title.
Mallhalla is also receiving new summer-themed items, including the Surfin’ Emote, the Stocks on the Rocks ‘26 Podium, and the Heatwave 2026 Mega Bundle, which includes every previously released Heatwave skin along with new premium additions.
The return of Heatwave is important because Brawlhalla’s seasonal events have become a major part of the game’s long-term rhythm. They give regular players fresh goals, bring back older cosmetics, and provide limited-time rewards that help keep the game active between larger competitive and content updates.
Patch 10.08 also includes a new 2v2 Kung Foot Dynamic Queue, running from June 18 to June 30, ahead of the Eternal Sports Kung Foot Championship on June 27 and June 28. It is a smaller addition compared to Aurus or Battle Pass Classic 8, but it gives players another limited-time mode to explore during the update window.
Ranked, Guild rewards, Twitch Drops, and balance changes round out the patch
Beyond the headline content, Patch 10.08 introduces several important system-level additions.
The Ranked ladder resets on June 24, giving players a new competitive season to climb. The update also debuts Crystalforged Colors, a new Ranked reward purchasable with Glory once players have already unlocked the Goldforged color for a specific Legend.
Guilds also receive new rewards, with 11 new Guild Emojis available exclusively through Guild Tokens. This continues Brawlhalla’s broader push to make long-term social systems more meaningful after the transition from Clans to Guilds.
Twitch Drops are also part of the update. From June 17 to July 7, players can earn Community Color v2 for Aurus, Thea, Artemis, and Ezio by watching streams in the Brawlhalla category on Twitch.
Balance changes are another major part of the patch. Blue Mammoth Games has adjusted multiple Super Stances to provide more interesting stat trade-offs across Legends such as Sentinel, Lin Fei, Fait, Thor, Mako, Reno, Ezio, and Priya.
Weapon balance changes affect Bow, Chakram, Hammer, Katars, and Orb. Bow’s Neutral Light and Side Light now have more recovery on miss, Hammer’s Side Light and Side Air have been toned down, Katars receive reduced threat coverage and knockout potential, while Chakram gains several improvements to better reward its higher-risk attacks.
Several individual Legends also receive notable adjustments. Cassidy sees reductions to her Hammer Signature pressure and knockout power, while Ezio, Loki, and Red Raptor receive buffs to specific Signatures. These changes suggest the patch is aiming to reduce the safety and reward of certain common tools while improving attacks that previously carried too much risk for too little payoff.
What this means for players
For casual players, Patch 10.08 offers a large amount of new and returning content. Aurus gives players a fresh Legend to learn, Battle Pass Classic 8 brings back an entire seasonal reward track, and Heatwave provides another set of summer cosmetics to chase.
For competitive players, the balance changes may be even more important. Adjustments to Bow, Hammer, Katars, and specific Signatures could influence common matchups, especially around weapons and Legends that have remained popular in ranked and tournament play.
Aurus himself could also have a noticeable impact once players begin exploring his Chakram and Spear combinations. New Legends often take time to settle into the meta, but his trapping tools and balanced statline suggest he may appeal to players who like controlling engagements rather than relying purely on speed.
For collectors, the update is particularly strong. Between new Aurus skins, Battle Pass Classic rewards, Heatwave cosmetics, Crystalforged Colors, Twitch Drops, and Guild Emojis, Patch 10.08 provides a wide range of unlockable and purchasable items across different systems.
Patch 10.08 gives Brawlhalla a packed summer update
Brawlhalla Patch 10.08 stands out because of its scale. It introduces a new Legend, revives one of the game’s most memorable Battle Pass themes, prepares the next seasonal event, resets Ranked progression, expands Guild rewards, and delivers meaningful gameplay balance changes in one update.
That combination is exactly what keeps Brawlhalla active as a long-running live-service platform fighter. New characters bring fresh matchups, Battle Pass Classics preserve older content, seasonal events maintain community engagement, and balance updates keep competitive play moving.
With Aurus entering the Grand Tournament, Terminus returning through Battle Pass Classic 8, and Heatwave just around the corner, Brawlhalla players have several reasons to jump back in this summer. Patch 10.08 is not a small content refresh; it is a full seasonal pivot that touches nearly every part of the game.
