Did you grow up with roguelike style games? Were you witness to the roguelite games or even the roguelite-lite? Now we present our roguevania style game, the illegitimate child of a modern roguelite and old school MetroidVania game.

Features:

• RogueVania: explore an interconnected world which has the same replay value of a roguelite game, and the adrenaline produced by permanent death.
• 2D Dark Souls Action: Difficult but fair battles, multiple weapons, and spells with an exclusive game system. Of course, there is also an emergency panic roll to get you out of trouble.
• Non-linear progression: sewers, ossuary, or ramparts? Once unlocked, the permanent special abilities will allow you to access new routes to reach your objective. Opt for the path that best suits your play style or simply your mood.
• Exploration: Secret rooms, hidden passages, enchanting scenery… take a moment to walk through the towers and breath the fresh sea mist infused air.

Interconnected levels and progressive unlocking of access to the island gives you an authentic incentive to explore everything around you. Add in a degree of evolution to your character and permanent weapon upgrades where you can clearly see what Dead Cells has borrowed from the long line of MetroidVanias that precede it.

At the end of the day, the most important thing will be your skills as a player. The roguelites are about constantly improving until what was once an insurmountable obstacle becomes a walk in the park. Unsparing combat, together with the lack of any kind of safety net makes for an adrenaline filled adventure each time that you play. The replayability is also one of a kind.
